Metrology is the science of measurement. as far it concerns with technical measurement of the tools that are generally affecting peoples lives.

In Tanzania it is offered at the college of business education (CBE) main campus
dar es salaam.


A Candidate shall be considered for admission to Bachelor Degree in Metrology and Standardization Program if the Candidate has obtained:-
This course is only offered at College of Business Education (CBE) in Tanzania. Students pursuing this course have high chance of employment opportunities in the Government and scholarship priority from HESLB.
Any two Principal passes in science combination at “A” Level with Physics or Mathematics as one of the major subjects with a score of 4 points and above.
Full Technician Certificate (FTC) from a NACTE recognized Technical College.
Two year Diploma with second class and above from a NACTE recognized Institution specialized in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineer

As Tanzania moves to take advantage of oil and gas discoveries, the College of Business Education (CBE) has started offering oil and gas metrology courses. Metrology is the science of measurement. The College rector professor Emanuel Mjema reiterated during the World Metrology Day (May 20) in Dar es Salaam that the institution has added measurements of oil and gas to their metrolgy course after the discovery of oil and gas to cope with the demand for qualified experts. “The government decided to conduct the course locally in order to cope with the demand of inspectors of weights and measurements in the country,” says Mjema. Mjema says that the program intends to feed its graduates into government jobs at the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
